Challenges : When building Crowne Plaza's data center, we faced the challenge of securely housing 30 servers in a cramped five-star hotel environment, dealing with fire risks, power disruptions, and limited maintenance space.
Solution:
- Space Allocation: 3,000 sq.ft. for the data center, 1,000 sq.ft. for UPS, and 2,000 sq.ft. for IT staff.
- Raised Flooring: 450mm flooring ensured proper airflow for PAC, with fireproofing and insulation.
- Electrical Setup: Limited redundancy with a single stable power source and two 40KVA Emerson UPS.

Challenges : Standard ACs were used instead of PAC, with no early fire detection or modern suppression system. The walls, ceiling, and flooring lacked fireproofing, and the unstructured cables were improperly labeled.

- Connect all user devices with structured Cat 6 cabling and standardize on CommScope.
