MTNL required a high-performance and resilient IT infrastructure to support critical business applications and increasing operational demands. The existing environment needed modernization to improve processing speed, optimize data management, and ensure uninterrupted service availability.

One of the primary challenges was executing a server migration strategy without impacting business continuity. The transition required careful planning to move workloads while maintaining application performance and minimizing operational disruption.

Another key requirement was deploying high-performance storage infrastructure capable of supporting large data volumes and delivering faster access for mission-critical workloads.

The organization also required a stable and redundant network environment to support Java-based applications and Oracle databases with high availability and consistent performance.

Ensuring application reliability, seamless connectivity between servers and storage, and maintaining uptime during unexpected failures were additional critical objectives.

  • Enterprise Hardware Deployment: Installed a complete infrastructure environment including HP Integrity Servers, HP 3PAR Storage, SAN switches, Gigabit switching infrastructure, and tape library systems within a secured rack architecture to support centralized and reliable operations.
  • Optimized Server & Storage Configuration: Configured HP/UX operating systems across server environments and implemented RAID architecture to improve data integrity, optimize storage performance, and strengthen overall reliability.
  • SAN Integration & Storage Connectivity: Deployed and configured SAN switching infrastructure to enable efficient communication between servers and storage systems while improving performance and data accessibility.
  • Cluster & High Availability Setup: Designed and implemented a clustered environment with failover capabilities to maintain uninterrupted application availability and reduce service interruptions during unexpected events.
  • Application & Database Deployment: Installed and integrated Oracle WebLogic and Oracle 11G Database Server while deploying the Java-based FMS application within the failover-enabled environment to support stable application delivery.

To meet these requirements, a secure, scalable, and enterprise-grade server and storage environment was designed and implemented.

  • Accelerated server and application performance across critical operations.
  • Improved storage efficiency and faster access to business data.
  • Enabled seamless server migration with minimal operational disruption.
  • Increased infrastructure reliability through clustering and failover mechanisms.
  • Strengthened application and database availability.
