Additionally, the presence of unused and unmanaged cabling increased infrastructure complexity and created potential safety concerns, including fire hazards and maintenance challenges. The absence of proper cable management and documentation made fault identification and troubleshooting time-consuming, impacting business continuity.

Problem

The lack of a structured network architecture also restricted scalability and made it difficult to support growing user demands. The Pharma section required a reliable, secure, and high-performance network environment to ensure uninterrupted business operations, simplify network management, and enable future expansion.

  • Standardized Structured Cabling: Connected all user endpoints through structured Cat 6 cabling and standardized the infrastructure using CommScope components to maintain consistent network performance and simplify future maintenance.
  • Network Labeling & Compliance: Established proper labeling and documentation practices across the network while ensuring all fiber and copper terminations complied with EIA/TIA industry standards for improved manageability.
  • Quality Testing & Optimized Hardware: Performed end-to-end cable validation using Fluke testing tools and deployed organized patch panels along with HP switches to ensure reliable and efficient network operations.
  • Network Segmentation & Security: Designed VLAN architecture and configured inter-VLAN routing to improve traffic management, enhance security, and isolate critical business functions.
  • Monitoring & Performance Management: Implemented a centralized monitoring solution for proactive network visibility, faster fault identification, reduced downtime, and improved operational performance.
